The Egg and Eye

One of the first ideas I had to do something creative with and egg was to paint with the work. Then I thought I could use the shell as well to put into the painting (if you call using an egg yolk paint). So I immediately thought about making a tree out off the entire egg.

Using only my hands, a small brush, and frying pan I went for it and started painting. It didn’t work out so well at first like the yolk not working like paint does and the whole egg moving freely throughout the pan.

I crushed the egg shell in my and and attempted to make the small pieces look like leaves on a tree. I did not look like a tree at all trying to fight the egg from where it was going on the pan. Then i gave up and decided to move everything on the side of the pan where the egg wanted to be. Somehow the substance all came together and somewhat resembled a tree.

What really stood out to me was the idea of people loosing their drive to be creative. I have been wanting to bring my ideas and creativity to life in 3D animation, but first I need to get good at working in 3D. I have found myself not wanting to do anything and realize that I want to do so much more I just can’t find the motivation to do so. I have already thought about making efforts to be more creative and put work into being able to do that. This class sounds motivating to head in a creative way of thinking again so I hope to see what will happen from now to the end of the semester.
